Tunnel Emisor Oriente, Mexico City, Mexico

Ballard Diving & Hyperbaric Services South American team is proudly supporting multiple facets of the 62km tunnel. Emisor Oriente will be one of the largest wastewater tunnels in the world. With a total length of 62 km and running up to 200 m below ground level, the tunnel will significantly reduce the risk of flooding in Mexico City improving the safety and well-being of the inhabitants. Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement - SR99
Project Date: 2012 - Active Project

56 ft OD Tunnel with 4.3 bar pressures expected. Due to project requirements, preparations are underway to permit hyperbaric interventions in air, trimix and SAT modes. BDHS developed project specific hyperbaric operations manual and variance requests. Design, evaluation, setup, and integration of hyperbaric SAT equipment into the system. Blue Plains Tunnel

The project is the design-build of a 24,000-foot-long, 26-foot-diameter CSO tunnel constructed in soft ground under and adjacent to the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers. In addition to the tunnel, the project includes a 132-foot-diameter dewatering shaft and a 76-foot-diameter screening shaft at Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. Port Mann Tunnel
Project Date: 2011 - Active Project

BDHS is managing hyperbaric support operations on a 2.8 meter CAT EPB TBM. The 1,000m tunnel will run under the Fraser River at pressures up to 6 bar. Due to high pressures, operations will be in SAT mode. Project specific SAT operations manuals, design, evaluation, setup and integration of related equipment into TBM system is included as well as all related personnel.  (More)

Manage hyperbaric support operations on a CAT TBM with pressures up to 4.5 bar. Develop project specific hyperbaric operations manual, variances from Federal OSHA, evaluation, setup and integration of hyperbaric equipment into TBM system. Portland Kiewit- Bilfinger Berger J/V -CSO

Kiewit-Bilfinger Berger J/V was awarded first place in Public Works/Infrastructure/Transportation for 2012 by DJC. The scope of the project consists of microtunneling approximately 6,700 feet. Six shafts will be constructed along the microtunnel route to provide access and connect existing pipelines to the conduit.
